A Take on Conversation Cupcakes

I found these in a book and had to make them! Not sure if they taste any good but I think they look cute! Of course anything has to be better than the original "chalky" conversational hearts.

A Take on the Last of the Snow

So last night the snow started to melt with the sun out. Thought I would capture the last of the snow during sunset. After playing 4 hours in the snow yesterday, Walker was content to sit by my side and watch the sun go down. A perfect end to a perfect day!

A Take on Pajar Boots!

So here is the long story on some wonderful boots. Found these boots in Sundance Catalog back in December, thought no way should I get them I live in Texas and these boots are for -25 degree weather. But they were too cute to resist so I got them thinking surely we will have ONE snow day. After two months of backorder the arrived on a beautiful 80 degree weather day. So bummed! But wait this is Texas and just TWO days later we have 10 degree weather ice and snow! Not only that we got 6 more inches of snow today, so a total of FOUR snow days! The best purchase ever!

A Take on Sledding in 2011

The Wilson's and one William found the best hill in Lantana! Wonderful morning of sledding, too bad we only had one sled! Uncle Mark had extra duty with Ryan and Todd not having proper foot attire. Then Walker decided to try out all the fun and did very well for a dog!

A Take on a Snow Day Walk

Well my wish came true today and Texas got a snow day! Tested my new boots out on a two hour walk this morning. They work great. Walker was very busy playing in the icy creeks, I think maybe we are in the wrong state seeing as how we both love the cold and snow! That being said while he was off playing I focused on the winter woods. Wonderful day!

A Take on Allie the Ballerina

Today was Allie's "practice" recital. I have never seen a child more excited! Not only was she brimming with pride that she got to dance on stage BUT she also got to wear mascara. Her belated Great Grandmother would have been proud! Can't wait for the real recital in May complete with costumes.

A Take on Snow in Texas

So a little belated with this post, but thought I would share the one inch of snow in Texas we got in December. If you blinked you missed it!
