A Take on the Adventures of the Ballard Boys

I was very fortunate to spend a wonderful spring morning with the cutest boys ever!! Got to play super heros, fight dragons, and catch some bugs. I loved every minute of it! My goal was to capture the word "exuberant." I think we did it, not to mention "cute."

A Take on Spring Break at the Arboretum

It was off to the arboretum for the last day of spring break. Who needs to stop and smell the roses when you can leap through the air, spin in circles, and roll down hills until you make yourself sick (just ask Luke.) A great way to say welcome spring!!

A Take on Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park

One fabulous photography workshop, remote area without communication to the outside world, 30 foot waves, and giant redwood forests. Priceless! Still taking in all that I learned with my first photography workshop and trying to figure out how I can continue to practice my "ghost waves." What I do know for sure, is I am extremely excited with the knowledge I took away and hope to apply it in my future work!

A Take on California Wildflowers

I was amazed with the amount of spring wildflowers on my recent trip to Big Sur California! Imagine going through a giant redwood forest to find a tiny purple iris on the the floor or turning the corner at the beach and coming upon a valley of calla lilies! Spring was in full bloom.

A Take on Post Wedding Pictures

Can we say oh so nervous on this "photo shoot," but how I loved it! A very dear friend asked if I would be willing to "retake" some wedding pictures. Somehow she convinced her husband to put on tux and off to the arboretum we went! I must say I find it is much easier to take pictures of couples than 5 children. I am sorry to say Cyndie and Aaron the bird pictures did not make the cut! But I am very proud of the rest.

A Take on Crazy Lights

Had to bribe Launa, Luke, and Allie to come with me to Arlington Camera for a lesson on lights in motion. They say they had a blast playing with glow sticks plus the got hot coco and s'mores afterwords. That being said Allie (who is in kindergarten) was the only one able to make a "W". The three attempted a "I love u" but came up short still a great picture. Thanks for all your help!

A Take on Down on the Farm

I had the wonderful idea of using my brother's childhood tractor out in the field. Got the boys ready and low and behold they mowed the field! Plan B was put into place and oh did we have so much fun!
